Double Scoops Ice Cream Card for Scrapbook.com

Hello my crafty friends! Where's my ice cream lovers? I have another card to share for Scrapbook.com featuring their new A2 cardstock. Today's card features the Classic cardstock, paired with lots of other yummy products available in the shop. I love making sweet treat cards and had an absolute blast creating this delicious card. Scroll down for a few creative details. You'll find my clickable supply list at the end, as well.

One of the things I love about the various collections of the new A2 cardstock, is each color has a specific name. The colors I chose for my my project are:

Petal Pink, Chocolate, Yellow and Kraft

I'm also using patterned papers from the Hooray paper pad. They coordinate so nicely with my cardstock colors!

To create the splatters for my peppermint chip ice cream, I used Catherine Pooler Designs ink in Cargo. Simply press some of the ink on a craft mat, spritz with a small amount of water, then use a damp paint brush to grab the mix. Keeping the paint brush raised, approximately 6" above your project, tap the brush to distribute the splatters.

I keep a big sheet of used bubble wrap handy to cover my craft desk and do my splatter techniques.

I also used the Nested Vintage Label Dies to create the backdrop to my ice cream cones. I wanted to give my die cut with the cone patterned paper a little more definition, so I did some partial die cutting with the chocolate cardstock, using just the top and bottom edge of my die cuts as backing to my cone patterned paper.

Of course, let's not forget to mention the Scoops of Fun dies! They absolutely brought this fun project to life. They make such awesome birthday cards. My vision for this card, surprisingly, came together rather quickly. The die cuts are quick and easy to assemble. I probably spent more time deciding which patterned papers I wanted to use, haha!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Let me know if you have any questions, in the comment section. Have a good day and stay crafty!

Terri
